Automatic Updates
Syrasoft’s Pending Tasks Work Center notifies users automatically when updates to the Syrasoft Management Software are available. Computer must have Internet access to use this feature. A security setting is available for prohibiting employee(s) from executing this task.

Certified Mail Interface
Syrasoft Version 8 offers an interface to ADS (Accountable Document Systems), an outbound document management system designed to enable self storage properties efficiently manage delivery of Certified Mail. In regions where lien law requires sending correspondence via certified mail, the Syrasoft/ADS interface expedites the lien process. Syrasoft creates the certified mail label printed on 8 ½” x 11” plain paper, folded, and inserted in a Certified Mail windowed envelope along with the accompanying letter. Syrasoft users can choose the accompanying letter and the certified mail label to print as part of the Syrasoft automatic Lien/Late Events for the property. The Syrasoft Certified Mail Interface eliminates the need to wait in line at the Post Office to send Certified Mail. A USPS Return Receipt Proof of Delivery is also available via email versus USPS hard copy mail. The Syrasoft Certified Mail Interface is priced at $249.00 per Syrasoft Software license.

Delinquency
Syrasoft Version 8 supports separate late/lien event rules for different unit type/sizes.

Syrasoft clients using the Syrasoft Email Software can email Syrasoft letters, invoices, receipts, and reports via pdf (Adobe Acrobat Reader) format in Syrasoft Version 8.
Financials
Running Total of All Payments
Syrasoft Financials Work Center shows a running total of income collected throughout the day, including payments managers post on the property, payments made by customers via the Syrasoft Internet Manager customer online payment add on software, and payments received via Insomniac Kiosk.
Secure Sensitive Information
Syrasoft Security allows owners/supervisors to include a setting in an employee login to prevent employees from seeing more than the last 4 digits of any personal information fields in Syrasoft once they’ve entered the initial information. This includes SSN, credit card number, driver’s license number, passport, etc.

Encrypted Credit Card Information
Credit card information in Syrasoft Version 8 is encrypted. If you are using the Syrasoft to Verifone PC Charge Payment Server credit card authorization software interface to your credit card processing company, the credit card information passed from Syrasoft to Verifone is encrypted and the Verifone PC Charge Payment Server Version 5.9 or higher credit card authorization software is a PA DSS 1.2 validated payment solution. Syrasoft clients using the Syrasoft Automatic Credit Card Payment Processing Package also have the option of ‘encryption at the point of swipe’ credit card processing technology with Syrasoft’s interface to one of the self storage industry partner credit card processing companies, (Payment Processing Inc/PPI). With the Syrasoft/PPI interface Syrasoft would send a token/code only for automatic credit card payment transactions. This technology goes hand in hand with increased payment card industry data security standards (PCI-DSS) required for merchants.

Syrasoft Version 8 supports charging multiple taxes, where required.

Rental Deposits
Rental Deposits are attached to the unit, not the tenant. This change allows users to manage only the rental deposit attached to the unit being vacated with an option to apply the deposit to the balance on account if multiple units are rented or transferring the deposit to another unit.
Occupancy
Interactive Rent Roll
Syrasoft Occupancy Work Center is an interactive rent roll of the property sorted by any column in the grid. Moves and transfers can be completed from this area of the software as well as from the Birds Eye View Map.

Synchronize Rent Dates for Anniversary Facilities
For properties using an anniversary rent schedule, it is now possible to automatically synchronize upon move in, the rent due date of second and subsequent units to the day of the month rent is due for the first unit by prorating the rent of the second and subsequent units to the first unit’s due date.
Vacancy Notification Fee
A Notify fee (per Diem charge for not notifying prior to vacancy) upon Move Out can be charged.
Move Out Wizard
A Move Out wizard with forward and back features is included in Version 8.
Potential Tenants
2 more Buttons for Internet and Referrals have been added to the Add Potential Tenants screen. When these buttons are checked, the information is registered in the Transactions area of the Management Summary Report. This information can also be entered via Operations, Phone Calls/Walk Ins.
Pending Tasks
- User is reminded when retail inventory items are below reorder point.
- User is reminded when owner’s insurance policy on vehicles stored/parked on the property has expired.
- User is reminded when owner’s vehicle registration for vehicle stored/parked on the property has expired.
Retail Sale
Syrasoft Retail Sale Work Center provides an area to concentrate on and attend to merchandise sales. Syrasoft also has a handheld retail barcode interface available in Version 8, so managers can scan retail merchandise directly into the Syrasoft Software. The merchandise does not have to have barcode on the packaging. Barcodes can be created for packaging that does not have bar coding. Handheld Retail Scanner Hardware = $99.00 per Scanner.

‘Self Pay’ Customer Touch Screen Payment Interface
Syrasoft Version 8 interfaces to a touch screen monitor that can be placed in a property office. ‘Self Pay’ Customer Touch Screen Payment Interface = $2,495.00 per monitor. Customers can:
- Make a credit card payment for any amount (Prepayment, balance, partial payment)
- Sign up for automatic payment
- Customers log into ‘Self Pay’ either by Username/password, Unit#, Access Code, or by simply swiping the credit card they may have on file.
- Customers can view their recent account history.
Tenants
Syrasoft Tenant Work Center is an interactive rent roll of the property sorted by any column in the grid, providing expanded search capability and viewing.

Vehicles
Syrasoft’s Vehicle Work Center is a much expanded version of the Vehicle Look Up feature in Version 7. Expanded information is tracked for vehicles/boats/RV’s/etc. parked/stored on the property enabling more detailed tracking of this information from point of move in and throughout rentals. Vehicle Information can be added to the unit rental during or after move in.
