The Syrasoft Mobile/Record Storage Module combines with the Syrasoft Self Storage Management System software to easily track and charge rent for mobile storage containers and/or record file boxes.

Each storage container and/or file box is labeled with a bar code identifying the box number. Each box location is also labeled with a bar code. The Barcode Scanner is then programmed so you may scan a box followed by a location. This information is held in the scanner and then later downloaded into the Self Storage Management System software. Once the information is downloaded, the new location of each box is in the system. Each box has a location field that is updated with scanner download information.

You can manually type the location of the container/box in the location field in the unit instead of interfacing the barcode reader, if you prefer to do so. Rent assessment for the storage containers is handled through The Self Storage Management System’s billing function. All options for charging rent are available.  You may prorate; charge deposits, additional fees, or late charges the same way you would if the customer were renting a traditional storage unit.
