Performing a move in from your mobile device has never been easier than with Syrasoft’s MobileManager® for iOS and Android. This page will show you step by step how to move a new or existing tenant into a new unit from your available self storage inventory.
Start the move in process by selecting Unit Sizes to check your available unit inventory.
Once the Unit Sizes screen appears find the Unit Type the potential tenant is requesting. The white square shows how many units are occupied and the green square reveals how many are currently available. In this example we selected 5×10 Climate Controlled.
The Unit List will show you what units are available from the selected Unit Type. As you can see in this screenshot any unit statuses will appear on the individual unit.
Tapping anywhere outside of the highlighted area will show you the full set of unit statuses present on that particular unit. This is an excellent way to determine if a unit is technically vacant but has yet to be cleaned or is currently awaiting repair.
If you are satisfied the unit in question is ready for an occupant tap the blue Move In icon to continue.
If your facility happens to offer tenant insurance your Insurance Choices will appear here. Select the vendor and amount to continue.
Once you have selected the desired level of tenant insurance the MobileManager® will give you the option to select an existing tenant from your facility or enter a new tenant’s information.
If you chose to enter a new tenant information this page will appear and allow you or your manager to enter the required fields into the MobileManager® or scan a U.S. driver’s license barcode.
Scanning the barcode is as simple as tapping Scan and centering the barcode on the device’s display. The MobileManager® will read the barcode and fill out the fields that can be copied from the ID.
Once the information has been entered tap Add Tenant to continue.
If you opted for the “Select Existing Tenant” choice simply enter the details of the existing customer. If more than one tenant matches the criteria they will all be listed. Tap the correct tenant to proceed.
Once the tenant’s information has been entered into the move in process the MobileManager® will give you an opportunity to review the move in before committing it to your data.
When you are satisfied with the details on the screen tap Assign Unit and the unit will officially be assigned to the tenant in question.
Any lease or documentation will be emailed to the tenant for their signature and return to the facility.
